A PRAYER AGAINST THE PERSECUTORS OF THE HOLY MOTHER CHURCH

Raccolta #718

Graciously hear the prayers of Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord

and that she may serve Thee in perfect security and freedom.

Through Christ our Lord.

MEMORARE - PRAYER TO MARY, MOTHER OF GOD

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,

that never was it known that anyone

who fled to thy protection,

implored thy help, or sought thine intercession

was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence,

I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother;

to thee do I come,

before thee I stand,

sinful and sorrowful.

O Mother of the Word Incarnate,

despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen

MEMORARE, O piissima Virgo Maria,

non esse auditum a saeculo,

quemquam ad tua currentem praesidia,

tua implorantem auxilia,

tua petentem suffragia, esse derelictum.

Ego tali animatus confidentia,

ad te, Virgo Virginum, Mater, curro, ad te venio,

coram te gemens peccator assisto.

Noli, Mater Verbi, verba mea despicere;

sed audi propitia et exaudi.

Amen

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen

Sancte Michael Archángele,

defénde nos in prœlio;

NOW THE HOLY ROSARY COMMENCE

On the Crucifix of Rosary:

One begins by holding the Crucifix of the Holy Rosary,

kiss it,

do the sign of the Cross and pray:

SIGN OF THE CROSS

Signum Crucis

+ In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen

+ In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti, Amen

Thereafter (still at the Cross) pray the Apostles' Creed.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth.

And in Jesus Christ,

His only Son, our Lord,

                                       Bow /kneel

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary,

                                    end of bow/kneel

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended into hell;

on the third day He rose again

from the dead;

He ascended into heaven,

and is seated at the right hand of God

the Father almighty,

from there He shall come to judge

the living and the dead.

I believe

in the Holy Spirit,

the Holy Catholic Church,

the Communion of Saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body

and life everlasting.

Amen

Resurréctio - The Resurrection of Jesus Christ

Marc 16:1-8

(We do the Sign of the Cross in    Faith,   Hope   and   Love    which both opens and closes the sequence of prayer)

"And when the sabbath had passed, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint him.

Very early on the first of the week they came to the sepulcher, the sun having risen.

And they said among themselves:

Who shall roll away for us the stone from the door of the sepulcher?

And looking up they see that the stone had been rolled away; for it was very great.

They entered the sepulcher and saw a young man, sitting at the right side, clothed in a white robe; and they were amazed.

He says to them:

“Be not amazed.

You seek Jesus the Nazarene who was crucified;

he has risen,

he is not here:

see the place where they laid him.”

And going out they fled from the sepulcher; for trembling and astonishment had seized them; and they said nothing to any one, for they were afraid."

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also those that have fallen asleep, will God through Jesus bring with him.

For this we say to you in the word of the Lord, that we, the living, who remain over to the coming of the Lord, shall not precede those that have fallen asleep;

Rev. 12:1, 14:1-5, Isa 6:3

(We do the Sign of the Cross in    Faith,   Hope   and   Love    which both opens and closes the sequence of prayer)

And a great sign appeared in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun,

and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars;

And I heard a voice from heaven like the voice of many waters,

and like the voice of loud thunder;

and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps.

And they sung a new song before the throne,

and before the four living creatures,

and the elders;

and no one was able to learn the song, …

And in their mouth was found no guile; for they are blameless.

And one called to another and said:

“Holy, holy, holy

is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”

Let's pray (for our Shepherds):

In the Name of Jesus Christ, our God and Lord, strengthened by the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God, of Blessed Michael the Archangel, of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul and all the Saints, we confidently undertake to repulse the attacks and deceits of the devil.

O God, our refuge and our strength, look down with mercy upon the people who cry to Thee; and by the intercession of the glorious and immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God, of Saint Joseph her spouse, of the blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, and of all the Saints, in Thy mercy and goodness hear our prayers for the conversion of sinners, and for the liberty and exaltation of the Holy Mother the Church. O Jesus, this is for love of You, for the conversion of sinners, for the Holy Father and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

O Holy Mother of Priests, protect all priests from the dangers of their holy profession and lead the stray cardinals, bishops and priests who have failed their sublime vocation, with your kind motherly hand, back to the good shepherd! Amen

May the Lord preserve him and give him life and make him to be blessed upon the earth and deliver him not up to the will of his enemies.

Lord Jesus, shelter our Holy Father the Pope under the protection of Thy Sacred Heart.

Be Thou his light, his strength and his consolation.

V. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.

R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray,

Grant, we beg Thee, O Lord God, that we Thy servants,

may enjoy lasting health of mind and body,

and by the glorious intercession of the Blessed Mary, ever Virgin,

be delivered from present sorrow

and enter into the joy of eternal happiness.

Through Christ our Lord.

R. Amen.

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen

For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of soberness of mind...
